You love to write and you’ve written, or you’re thinking about writing, your own novel, business book, or memoir. There’s nothing like having a great writer alongside, offering you guidance, inspiration, and accountability.
Michael Levin is America’s most acclaimed writing coach, having worked one-on-one with hundreds of writers and having taught at UCLA, NYU, and in writer workshops and programs around the world.
“Michael Levin is a discerning and kind writing coach who has won consistent plaudits from the many persons I’ve sent his way.”— Scott Turow
Internationally bestselling author
You can make Michael your coach in one of these three ways:
- If you have a completed manuscript, Michael will review it for no charge. If he thinks he can be useful, he will create a comment letter for you that typically runs 30 pages or more. You and Michael will then get on the phone for an hour to discuss the letter. You’ll do a new draft, and Michael will read that and write a comment letter (typically much shorter) on the new draft.
The fee for this service is $12,500.
- If you have an idea for a book, whether it’s a memoir, a novel, a business book, or a screenplay, Michael will work with you to plan the project and then provide accountability and guidance for up to nine months as you write. You’ll send Michael new pages twice a month and you’ll receive Michael’s written guidance. When the draft is complete, Michael will read it again, top to bottom, and offer you the same kind of comment letter mentioned above.
The fee for this service is $17,500.
- If you have a manuscript that you believe needs rewriting, Michael will review it for no charge and come back to you with a proposal outlining what needs to be done and how long it will take.
The fee for rewriting will be provided after Michael has had a chance to review the work.

“There is no doubt in my mind that restructuring and editing my book made the difference between mediocrity and success. Most importantly, it transformed the book into a powerful marketing tool that has reinvigorated my consulting business. I now have a partnership with a renowned global Fortune 100 company. We are planning a consortium with other innovative companies focused on the central theme of my book. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better result.”–Ord Elliott, Business consultant, author, The Future Is Fluid Form
“Michael’s philosophy for you as a writer is based on an objective judgement from the experiences he has had as a writer himself, which is, as he says —‘the story chooses you.’ When I heard him say that, I remembered that our thoughts are greater than what we perceive them to be.–Gary Albrecht, 47, English teacher in Tokyo
The next absorbing thing about Michael is that he fuses the new with the old. He understands the need for books to have an appeal for the television and movie market, as well as aspiring writers learning from the great writers of the past.
Finally, Michael is an intellectual without sounding complicated. His instructional posts on YouTube are clear and concise, as are his emails.
I’m currently polishing off my first novel. It’s good, and it’s solid. Those who have read the earlier drafts say it’s a page turner. I’ve even received good comments from people who I thought would not give it a chance and that does make me feel good. Thank you Michael.
If you are serious about your project, Michael will give you the motivation and the tools so that YOU will finish your project. Respect his time, and he will go the extra mile. If you’ve got the money, then invest it in Michael.”
